Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026.

Scope of the Policy and Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses, training modules, live workshops, and related digital services offered through spotmixly. These include professional video operation training, live signal management instruction, content distribution techniques, camera work tutorials, and the creation of high-quality feeds for news and broadcasting. The policy covers both one-time course purchases and subscription-based access to ongoing media feed resources. It governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed, and the circumstances under which refunds may be granted. All services are delivered digitally, and this document sets out the practical steps customers must follow to exercise their rights.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices on the website are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for premium add-ons such as extended access periods, downloadable resources or personalised feedback sessions. Any such extras are clearly displayed before checkout. Prices may change from time to time, but the price at the moment of purchase remains fixed for that transaction. Customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by their card issuer or bank when paying from outside the United Kingdom.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

spotmixly accepts major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for course purchases. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All card transactions are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. We do not store complete card details on our systems. Customers receive an email confirmation once payment has been successfully authorised. In the event of a payment failure, the order is not processed and no contract is formed.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A binding contract is formed when spotmixly sends an order confirmation email following successful payment. This email contains details of the purchased course or service, access instructions and a summary of this policy. Until that confirmation is received, no contract exists and the customer may cancel without penalty. Digital access credentials are issued only after confirmation.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under UK consumer law, customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of the order confirmation during which they may cancel for any reason. Because the services are digital content, the right to cancel ends once download or streaming access begins, provided the customer has given prior express consent to immediate performance and acknowledged that the cancellation right will be lost. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with effect from the next billing cycle.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available within the 14-day cooling-off period if no access has been taken. Once a customer has started viewing course materials or participated in a live session, the service is considered fully performed and refunds are not provided except in cases of technical fault on our side. Non-refundable items include promotional bundles, gift vouchers and any content marked as non-refundable at purchase. Refunds are also excluded where a customer has breached the terms of service or engaged in fraudulent activity.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, customers must email [email protected] within the applicable time limit. The email should include the order number, date of purchase, and a clear statement that a refund is requested. Supporting information such as screenshots of access issues may be attached. Requests received by post to C10 Alison Business Centre, 39 Alison Crescent, Sheffield, S2 1AS, United Kingdom or by telephone to +44 (0)114 360 5060 will also be accepted but email is the fastest route. We aim to acknowledge receipt within two working days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification

Upon receipt of a refund request, spotmixly will review whether access has occurred and whether the cooling-off period still applies. Customers will be notified of the decision by email within five working days. If approved, a refund reference number is provided. If rejected, the reasons are explained together with any options for appeal or alternative resolution. All decisions are recorded for audit purposes.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method. Credit and debit card refunds typically appear on the customer statement within five to ten working days, while PayPal refunds are usually credited within three working days. Bank transfers may take up to seven working days. spotmixly is not responsible for delays caused by the customer’s bank or payment provider. A confirmation email is sent once the refund has been processed.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital courses are supplied immediately upon confirmation. Customers who consent to immediate access waive the statutory right to cancel once streaming or download begins. Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms displayed at purchase; refunds for promotional items are limited to the amount actually paid. Where a subscription is cancelled mid-period, access continues until the end of the paid period but no pro-rata refund is given.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments result in immediate cancellation of the order. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically once identified. Chargeback requests are treated as refund requests and investigated under the same criteria. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities. Customers disputing a charge are encouraged to contact [email protected] first to resolve the matter amicably.

Mandatory Consumer Rights That Cannot Be Excluded

Nothing in this policy affects the statutory rights of UK consumers under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. These rights include remedies for faulty digital content and the right to a refund where services do not conform to the contract. Any attempt to exclude these rights is void.

The version in force at the date of purchase applies to each transaction. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
